About:

XBURO were responsible for the design of all building services for the redevelopment of QLD Ballet’s now world-class, heritage listed facility. XBURO were also appointed by the QLD Government Department of Energy and Public Works as their on-site project managers for the construction stage of the project.

The facility, which recently received its WELL Platinum Certification, implemented innovate engineering design solutions that focused on occupant health and wellbeing, such as energy recovery, evacuated tube solar hot water and circadian lighting.

The building houses wellness facilities, a gymnasium, doctor’s offices, several studios, a 340 No. seat performance theatre and workspaces and facilities for all staff and dancers.

The TDC is the first performing arts complex in the world to be awarded WELL Platinum level Certification.
